Surf Lessons Uluwatu on the reef breaks below Bingin's cliffs

Bingin Beach Surf School is based on Jl. Labuansait in Pecatu, in the heart of the Uluwatu peninsula — home to some of Bali's most beautiful waves. From gentle beach breaks for first-timers to world-class reef breaks for advanced surfers, our experienced local instructor reads the daily conditions and picks the safest, best spot for your level.
Hey, I'm Jack, owner of Bingin Beach Surf School. I really enjoy what I do - sharing my love of the sea and helping surfers of all levels improve their skills. Whether you're catching your first wave or perfecting your technique, I'll make sure you have the best surfing experience. Join me in the water and let's surf! There's no rotating roster of coaches here — you book Jack, and he decides on the day whether Bingin's reef or a gentler beach break down the coast fits your level better.
Every format is a 2-hour session, board and rash guard supplied.

Booking a session with Jack takes three steps.
Share your date, level and group size on WhatsApp — Jack answers personally and confirms your Uluwatu slot.
Reef at Bingin or a softer beach break down the coast — Jack calls it on the day based on swell, tide and your level.
No handoff to a junior coach partway through — Jack stays in the water with you for the full two hours.

Real reviews from students who learned to surf with Jack in Uluwatu.
“Was nervous about the reef at Bingin but Jack read the tide and picked a mellower spot for my first attempt — stood up twice by the end and never felt unsafe.”
“Did five private sessions with Jack over two weeks and he genuinely tracks your progress between them — each lesson picked up where the last one left off. Worth building a trip around.”
“Booked semi-private with my brother and Jack switched us between two breaks mid-morning once the tide turned — that kind of local judgment call is exactly why we picked this over a bigger school.”
What Jack gets asked most before a Uluwatu lesson.
No — plenty of Jack's Uluwatu students have never touched a board. If the reef looks too advanced for a first attempt, he'll move the lesson to a gentler beach break nearby and build you up from there.
Board and rash guard are both covered, matched to your level and the day's conditions. Bring a swimsuit, sunscreen and a towel — everything else is sorted for the 2-hour lesson.
Jack runs sessions daily, 6 AM to 6 PM. The Bukit's reef breaks are tide-dependent, so he checks the tide chart each morning and books you into whichever window puts you on the safest, cleanest water around Uluwatu.
IDR 400.000 per person in a group, IDR 500.000 semi-private, IDR 650.000 for a fully private slot with Jack — board included in every option. Message on WhatsApp to check what's open.
